Born and raised in the Midwest, Rob developed his writing and vocal style from a broad range of musical influences. A mixed bag of inspirations (from Lerner and Loewe and Harold Arlen to Paul Anka, Goffin and King, and The Beatles) is reflected in Rob's diverse and unique abilities, so evident throughout his 6 decade career.
Red Lips Records has just released 4 albums of Rob's instrumental compositions: the smooth jazz album, "IMPRESSIONS"; 2 albums of easy listening music: "MOODS" and "MORE MOODS"; and most recently "FOUR FOR ORCHESTRA" - an album of 4 symphonies. Rob has also written and produced an EP for country artist Michael Braun, an album for international singer and actress, Luoyi Pan, “I’M NOT MESSING AROUND” for America’s Got Talent winner Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., the album “HERE” for country singer Rowdy McCarran.
Rob's career songwriting highlights include the top twenty Air Supply pop hit and L.U.S.T. reggae hit "JUST AS I AM,” the disco smash "SINNER MAN" for Sarah Dash; his own cult classic RCA recording "TOMMY, JUDY & ME”, and the witty "DO IT FOR OUR COUNTRY" featured in the movie GREASE 2.
As a staff songwriter for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend, Don Kirshner, Rob wrote songs for several television projects including Norman Lear's "A Year At The Top,” and Alan Landsburg's "The Kids From C.A.P.E.R.” Rob also composed the theme songs for "Don Kirshner's Rock Concert,” and the TV pilots "Stick Around" starring Andy Kaufman, and “Say Uncle” with Richard Schull.
